AMEX, OFX, aqbanking, and all that

AMEX has been working "fine" for me for quite some time now. I don't 
think I changed anything on my end (and saw a post of mine some time 
back that has the same settings as I presently do, as far as I can tell).

Yesterday, AMEX was not showing up for me as an option for online 
actions and trying to go through the aqbanking wizard results in an 
aqbanking crash when trying to download the accounts.

There isn't anything immediately obvious to me in /tmp/ofx.log either.

Proceeding through the GNUCash "assign an account" steps after that 
seems to go well, but the menu items for online actions are still 
unavailable.

Before I rip my hair out on this one, has anyone either had recent 
success with AMEX OFX or similar failures?
