No, you are not. I had failed to pick up the point that your txn was to
A/P.
You could try temporarily changing the txn so that the "other end" is a
Liability account (in the correct currency), and editing it there. It
would probably be safest to make the experiment with a copy of your data
file (or a dummy file with a few test txns), just in case ...
