Can no longer save transactions!

Saving under a different file name has no effect.
(Goes away and gets smarter...)
I'm running out of disc space on that partition, apparently the act of
saving a file consumes the remainder of the free disc space, but the
inability to complete the save isn't being reported as an error.
Should this be reported as a bug?
