Problems trying to get currency separator correct for CAD

Hi, just to gate-crash your thread ;-)

for those following this re: CAD and ru_RU glitches,

I'd had a similar issue in recent days, still to confirm where my issue
lies before i try any of your actions like editing locales or deleting
gnucash defaults etc. Refer my other post if you're interested in
comparing my issue to yours :-)
