Please, please provide a way to cancel quickfill on a per-transaction basis

Anything at all -- but we need something in this spirit.  My suggestion of an 
initial backspace is another possibility.

I'm not advocating removing autofill globally.  We really want to cancel it 
dynamically for a single transaction.
