Thank you. The file suggests gconf should be able to write to
$(HOME)/.gconf
From the file:
# Give users a default storage location, ~/.gconf
xml:readwrite:$(HOME)/.gconf
So far we have always assumed $(HOME) on windows points to
c:\Documents and settings\<your username>
But perhaps that assumption is not always correct.
But before anything else, I reread the complete thread and as far as I can
tell you are trying all this with GnuCash 2.4.0. If so, can you update to
2.4.3 first ? There have been a number of fixes in Windows since 2.4.0.
Perhaps this problem is already solved.
If not, what happens if you run GnuCash as an administrator ?
