Gnucash menubar

Don't know how you are trying to change date, but have you tried using the plus 
or minus keys while the cursor is in that field? Does it change? Does it stick 
when you move out of the field [tab key]?

Funny that Karl mentioned his 'problem' with Ubuntu because I just
subscribed to the GnuCash list because I need help, too.

GnuCash 2.4.2. Ubuntu Natty 11.04

I just cannot change the date of the transaction. Gnucah will always
change it to the todays one.

Could you please help me with it? I use both Ubuntu and GnuCash in Czech
language - I do not know if this might cause problems.
