Cant' put X in invoiced column on bill

Hi, I'm using GnuCash 2.4.4 on Mepis 8.5, and I can't get the Invoiced?
column on vendor bills to consistently work. On some bills the X
automatically appears, and others it doesn't, and I can't get it to go in by
clicking on it. The result with no X in the Invoiced? column is that the
items don't appear on the customer bill. Am I missing something or is this a
bug?
