. . .not only is there a simple solution, but one that's been
delivered ages ago.  MIME Multipart was defined in 1996 with RFC 2046.
Just about every modern mailer has the ability to send such mails.  If
you have adjusted your mailer _not_ to send plain text versions of
your mail along with the HTML version (if you want to use that), then
you are actually foiling this capability that you already have.
