What version of gnucash did you use to create your file?  What kind of file (xml or sqlite)?  What version of gnucash comes with ubuntu 11.10?

Subject: gnucash not compatible ubuntu 11.04 and ubuntu 11.10

Good day,

Been using gnucash for years and coming through with the same file from version to version of Ubuntu - Fedora and Debian.

Just copy the saved file to new install - click on gnucash and a few more clicks and she goes.

Now just installed ubuntu 11.10 and going through the same motions as usual.
What a surprise " no back end ".

Now going through the motions to create a new file - all fine.
The file name now is "   xxx.gnucash "

Ok it seems that something more should be done to be compatible...I hope it is possible, would not like to redo the file from start....

Kindly some pointers please

Thanks
Johan S
