Announcement: GnuCash 2.4.8 Release

I followed the instructions for downloading 2.4.8, I think, but I was
somewhat confused when it mentioned a full installation, when all I thought
I was installing the revision. Does this completely replace 2.4.7? If so,
what happens to the changes I made to it? I stopped the installation
because I had not made backup of 2.4.7. I felt very uneasy about it. I'm
running Windows 7 Home Premium, SP 1, 32 bit.

I don't see it spelled out explicitly in the changes, but does this release
support MAC OS 10.7? I searched around and couldn't find anything
definitive. Sorry if I missed something obvious.
