'Reconcile' not working

Second question: Is there a known problem with 'reconcile'? It now
does not work for me. When I enter the parameters it does not give me
an accurate result and when I scroll down to look at entries it
suddenly either repeats certain single entries many time, scrolling
very slowly or not at all, or becomes a messy blur of lines. 2.4.7 on
my XP Asus 1005HA netbook.
