possible bug when saving to dns-323 nas

Hi Gnucash-users,

I recently switched my pc from Windows 7 x64 to Fedora 16 x64. I have a 
D-Link DNS-323 NAS with current firmware. I am using the version of 
Gnucash that I got from yum install gnucash last night. I used to store 
my gnucash files on the DNS-323 when running Windows with no issues.

Now, in fedora 16, I have a problem. I am mounting the DNS-323 as a cifs 
filesystem under /home/mtoal/Array. I am confident the permissions are 
correct as I am forcing uid and gid to be the same as user mtoal, and I 
am able to read and write files using other methods and applications. 
Gnucash however seems to be able to create log files, but not lock or 
dated-backup files on the NAS and gives warnings that these files cannot 
be created.

I am able to save the gnucash files as expected on my local filesystem, 
as well as on my web server which is also a mounted cifs filesystem (not 
that I wanted to keep my finances on my web server... however the 
webserver filesystem is on a Fedora 15 box running Samba and used it to 
test this)

Can anyone comment on my troubles? thanks!!!
