The role of users

The protocol that I think most people have followed on this list and seems to 
work reasonably well is

1. Ask the list how to do whatever it is with gnucash.

Generally someone will tell you a way to do it using gnucash or gnucash plus 
some other tools. Or, others will comment on the desirability of being able to 
do whatever. Sometimes nothing comes back.

2. If there is no satisfactory solution and it is important enough to you, 
head for bugzilla. Fill in a request for features/enhancement. Do your best to 
be clear on what you want. Your request is 
then recorded for everyone and in particular those who actually work on the 
code.

3. Move on.
