It really helps if you know enough fundamentals and then go through all 
the various reports because the NAME being used for the report might not 
be what you expected (by tradition, different names get used when 
keeping books for different sorts of entities)

The guncash name of the report you want is "Income Statement".  That's 
the same report otherwise known as "Profit and Loss", "Revenue 
Statement", etc.

This report will be for all the income and expense accounts and for some 
specified time interval and will show the net change to equity (that's 
the gain or loss for the interval)

PS: What you asked for would have given you the new total equity, not 
the change in equity.
