Split transactions

Gosh, I just assumed that anyone enlightened enough to use GnuCash
2.4.11 must be under Linux openSUSE 12.2...

OK, so if this is a bug, not a feature, I'll collect more data and
report back... It is working correctly now, but I haven't rebooted in a
long while (this /is/ Linux... :-)
