Hello Lucy,

Thank you for your inquiry. It is true that a couple years ago I was involved in working on part of the documentation for GnuCash. However, my circumstances have changed and I no longer am active with the project, though I think it a very good one and worth using. Because I am not current and the project continues to grow, any knowledge I have would be long outdated.

The user list provides this information about submitting requests like yours:

You can reach the person managing the list at

When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific than "Re: Contents of gnucash-user digest..."

I suggest that you join the user list and send questions directly there. My experience is that there are many knowledgeable users who are glad to help. If what you wrote below, someone will likely ask a question for more information so that they can give you an appropriate answer.

I don't remember if a non-list member can publish to the list or not, so I have copied the list above and that places your request before those actively monitoring the list. Hopefully, one of the sharp users will give you a quick reply.

Good luck. I wish you well.

Subject: Help!!!

Hello Tom, I own 6 apt buildings and I do all the accounts. I just got a new computer and have my accounts all transferred over from my old computer. I had Money in my old computer so I have downloaded your GnuCash and it is fine. I have one problem. I cannot figure out how to get my income and expense report. I need to get a print out of the day to day transactions as well as the year end. How do you customize the report ie. change the dates?? and the different expenses??
I would really appreciate your answers.
I am a senior so would like a clear explanation. Is there any way I could call someone. It would be easier to talk to someone.
Thanks in advance
Lucy Traves
