Can't resize window

Well it's not fixed after all. I've now got small type in a GnuCash
window that insists on being too large for my screen and won't let me
reduce it in size.
What's going on? I never had this problem before and I've been using
GnuCash for years and for months on Fedora 15. Did something get screwed
up in the latest version? ("GnuCash 2.4.9...This copy was built from
r21841M on 2012-01-19.")
