*.gnucash files

Joannes., I assume you're referring to *.log file.
Mine all have a time stamps because they are based on backups that I had opened by mistakde.
What should the "*" normally read in "*.log"?
I don't know how to save a file under a new name in GnuCash. Can you help pls?
I'm using V 2.4.9.
