Archiving Old Bank Accounts

* open the "edit account" dialogue

* set the "hidden" flag

* set the "placeholder" flag

* save your changes

bish bosh - job done!   :-)

(Of course, the bank account remains within your accounts - which is necessary, as to physically remove it would totally mess everything up! - but you will not see it again unless you tell GnuCash to show hidden accounts ... !)
