credit/debit

There is an entry in the Preferences which allows you to select that txns in some accounts show as reversed, and there is a similar facility in many of the standard reports. Has somebody been fiddling with the settings?  :-)

Note this is entirely a matter of presentation - it doesn't affect the actual figures - but many people (myself included!) can find the accountant's use of "debit" and "credit" a tad confusing!  The facility is therefore a pollution of accounting purity solely in the interest of making the figures more understandable to the layman!

Suddenly the amounts in the credit and debit columns are reversed!!  All
the way back to the beginning of all my accounts.

Any suggestions?
