Has anyone installed the GnucashEditor (view & edit GnuCash Files)?

Good point re stocks - I agree it's not a trivial task - presumably some
account types would need to be set to be 'un-archivable'.
If in the 'Export Accounts' scenario you wanted to keep stock accounts then
all existing stock transactions would need to be re-entered in addition to
all the 'Opening Balance' transactions for other accounts.
