gnucash 2.4.9 crashes on Windows 7

Tried and it didn't work.

That is really puzzling. I repeated the download today from the link at
http://www.gnucash.org/. I reinstalled 2.4.9 and repeated the
"gnucash --debug > gnucash.txt" command, and obtained the same result
as described in my first post.
