How do I print General Ledger?

My accountant need a printout of my G/L for the Fiscal Year: 2011-05-01 
to 2012-05-30

When I go to Reports -> Assets & Liabilities -> General Ledger I  get:


    Transaction Report:


    No accounts selected

This report requires accounts to be selected.

Edit report options <gnc-options:report-id=7#>

  When I edit the report options:
- Start date: 2011-05-01
- End date:   2012-05-30
- Accounts: Select All

On Clicking OK, I get:


    No matching transactions found

No transactions were found that match the time interval and account 
selection specified in the Options panel.


What am I missing?

What does the Filters do?
