Stock spin-off

This is somewhat off the beaten path, and thus the docs don't cover it. However, a Google search for "gnucash stock spinoff" turns up a few relevant resources online (including my own questions about this a couple of years back).

It's tricky; I hope you can get it figured out.

I have some shares of Chevron, ticker CVX. Recently they spun off part of their company into a new company: PSX. The share price of CVX went from the mid-70s to the mid-50s. What part of the docs covers how to handle this? I looked and nothing jumped out at me.
