Hi Mark,
I have no idea why GC is barfing, nor do I use multi currency stuff, but I
noticed the exchange rate you gave above, and thought it looked odd.
A bit of digging on the yahoo site suggests that for EUR/USD exchange rate you
should use the symbol EURUSD=X (or USDEUR=X depending which way toy are
exchanging)
gnc-fq-dump yahoo EURUSD=X
Finance::Quote fields Gnucash uses:
symbol: EURUSD=X <=== required
date: 06/08/2012 <=== required
currency: EUR <=== required
last: 1.2458 <=\
nav: <=== one of these
price: 1.2458 <=/
timezone: <=== optional
seems like a more sensible exchange rate!
Maybe Yahoo! have made changes to their output again?
HTH,
Maf.
