If you are using linux, every distribution I've use has a "print to
file" option in the print window that appears when pressing 'ctrl'+'p'.
This allows you to create a pdf with the name of your choice in the
location of your choice.

On windows a program called PDFCreator will do the same.

I've never used Apple OS...
