Multiple instances of Gnucash in moutain lion

I've never managed to open more than one instance on Snow Leopard either. The
problem seems to lie in how the filename is used but exactly what causes it
I'm not sure. 

If you try to open a non-existent file you get a file not found error as
you'd expect which suggests that the open command is parsing the parameters
correctly and doing the lookup. But if you try to open a file which does
exist, somewhere after that check the filename seems to be dropped and
Gnucash tries to open the last file opened.

I didn't realise it worked on Linux so haven't tried to look any more deeply
that this.
