Multiple check printing seems broken...

Hi all,

Recently, multiple check printing has stopped working for me, after 
years of working just fine. I'm using 2.4.11 on fedora 17. The "Checks 
on first page:" element of the "Print Check" dialog is grayed out (thus 
not editable) with the number 1 displayed. Historically, I've been able 
to change this value from 3 to 1 depending on whether or not I had a 
partial page of checks I was starting out with. Any helpful hints or 
suggestions are welcomed.
