Removing Currency Prefix from Reports

Greetings

I am a new GNUCash user. 

I have customised a Transaction Report to output data ready to rearrange in
a LibreOffice pivot table. 
Unfortunately, the currency prefix (eg; AUD 1,234.56) attached to my data
needs to be removed before it can be used by a pivot table. 

Is there a way to remove these prefixes from reports in GNUCash? I've
searched the options but come up with nothing. I've also tried using a
LibreOffice macro but made no headway.
