Customers information moving to new file

Unfortunately no, there's not.  While there is File -> Export Accounts
to create a new file with the existing (empty) Account Tree, there is no
equivalent to move Customer/Vendor data.  But this begs the question of
"why do you want to start a new data file?".  There is generally no
requirement to do that.  GnuCash's reports will break down your periods
just fine.

If you need a backup for the previous year you can just copy the file
for archival purposes.
