Any experiences with jgnucashlib?

Came across this library while looking for java api for gnucash. 
Wondering if anyone is using this? Also found few comments whether it's 
open source or not in older threads. It looks like gpl2, so I might be 
able to use it.

On my part I tried it with a sample file and it seems to be doing job 
correctly.

I want to automate creation of transactions. Scheduled transactions does 
not work for me because of my laziness as transactions have small 
changes during every cycle. Changing 7-8 splits every time becomes very 
tedious afterwards. I wrote a simple java program to achieve the desired 
functionality using above library and it worked.

If there is a better way to achieve this, I am willing to explore it.
