On Windows, the .gnucash folder is in your main user folder - the same 
one that contains your Desktop and My Documents.

On WinXP it's in c:\Documents and Settings\<yourusername>
Naturally, Microsoft being Microsoft, it's in a different main directory 
on Win7; I think it's c:\users\
