Yes, QIF supports split transactions.  Trust me, I wouldn't lead you
down a wrong path!

You should still go through and verify everything after you import.  But
if the totals are correct there's a good change everything else is
correct.  But you should still validate the import, especially because
it's just a one-time function.

QIF doesn't do empty accounts; the importer only imports transactions.
If you have an account without any transactions then no, it wont be
imported.

What do you mean by "virtually transfer money"?

I'm not sure if QIF support Equity type accounts, and it certainly wont
support Income/Expense accounts -- those are QIF "Categories".  Most
likely you'll only get Asset and Liabilities.
