problem entering preexisting shares

Dear list,

Sorry, if that appear twice on the list, my original post was apparently 
deleted, before I could send it.

I am new to gnucash and I was running into a problem following the tutorial

in 8.5.1. Entering Preexisting Shares

I opened a stock account and made a transfer from Equity:Opening 
Balances. My stock commodity window looks like the one in the 
illustration. However I don not have an increase in Equity:Opening 
Balances and in the advanced portfolio report, the full stock value 
appears as "Realized Gain". That can not be right, or am I missing 
something?
