Blank values in bookings of some accounts

How exactly are you entering these transactions?
Which interface?
If using an Account Register, which account do you have open?
The issue you are seeing is a result of a multi-currency transaction
where you don't have an exchange rate between the source and
destination. Or, possibly, you have a THIRD currency involved, in
particular if you are using a Stock or Mutual Fund account type.
Make sure that when you enter a multi-currency transaction that you
EXPLICITLY set an exchange rate while you're entering the transaction.
I suspect you didn't do that here.
To correct the issue you'll probably need to both set an exchange rate
AND set the amount for the foreign amount.
This also might be easier in Basic Ledger Mode instead of Split-Register
or Transaction Journal mode.
