Apologies for posting apparently duff info on the ppa. I was confused
by the fact that on one of my machines I have the ppa installed and it
was picking up a recent version. On examination I find that it was
actually picking it up from the standard repo as that is later than
the ppa. How rsbrux managed to install 2.4.13 remains a mystery as
you say.
@rsbrux what do you see if you run
apt-cache policy gnucash
As for the OP he seems to have lost interest.
