Reconciled Date Does Not Appear in Transaction Report

It's a manual process. Doing it automatically would be incorrect: Your checking account statement only reflects the splits in that account. For example, your pay slips reflect the splits in Income:Salary, so clearly Gnucash shouldn't automatically mark an  Income:Salary split as reconciled based on the checking account statement.
