We do this on a regular basis, using our own cloud (we are a Cloud Service Provider). The GnuCash database sits on a Linux virtual machine, which is accessible from either Linux (via X2Go), or Windows (via RDP). My iPad has iRDP installed, and I go in via the Windows route.

As one of the other respondents has mentioned, you need to take great care of the .LCK file if you are sharing the system with other users.

Subject: Install on shared hosting

I'd like to install GnuCash on a shared host (ie: HostMonster) and access via
RealVNC (or logical equiv) from a tablet.
Has any tried either part of this?
