HELP! Can't setup budget

When I try to set up a budget no columns appear for entering budget amounts,
no matter what budget options I choose.
I haven't found anything on this forum or elsewhere that explains or solves
this problem.
This is my second posting because I got no replies to the first and I really
need to get the budget working soon.
Please, can anyone help?
