Saving a customized report.

I am able to customize reports using the "edit report options" feature, but I 
am unable to save a customized report.  There is a button (looks like a floppy 
disk) which claims that it will "Add the current report to the 'Custom' menu 
for later use."  Unfortunately, this button is "grayed out," so I cannot 
access it.  I must be overlooking something.  Help would be appreciated.
