Multi-lingual invoicing?

Hi,

Since a couple of weeks I've been doing an attempt to do accounting 
using gnucash. This is in a multi-lingual company.

I myself am a native Dutch speaker, therefore, my PC is set to the Dutch 
language, and therefore gnucash uses Dutch too. The language we use in 
the company is English.

I particularly like having gnucash in Dutch, but the gnucash accounting 
file has been created in English (by temporarily setting the language to 
English). Sometimes, the accounting file is accessed using gnucash in 
English by one of my colleagues.

This mixes language in the file. For example, on invoices, the type is 
sometimes 'Uren' and sometimes 'Hours'. It is also sometimes 'Materiaal' 
and sometimes 'Material'. This creates inconsistent terminology and 
doesn't look good for customers.

Is there any way to always save the terms in the file in English, no 
matter what language gnucash is currently using? Or maybe to restrict 
the type of invoice lines to a set of possibilities defined inside the 
.gnucash file?

The ideal situation would be to have some kind of abstract type 
definition stored inside the file, and the actual text showing up on the 
invoice being dependent on the language gnucash is currently using (or 
preferably, the ability to set this on a per invoice or per customer 
basis). This issue will arise more for us regularly since we have both 
English speaking and Dutch speaking customers who would prefer to 
receive their invoices in their own language.
