Parsing error

I damaged my gnu cash file and have restored it.
When I open it with gnu cash I get " There was an error parsing the 
file: //o:/gnucashtest\cashtest ".
  Is there a way to tell gnu cash to tell me the location and nature of 
the error so I can try to fix it.

I am using 2.4.13.
