Thanks John.

I'm curious to know why the same gtk functions don't exhibit the problem
with Windows Vista or XP?

I've installed GnuCash version 2.6.3 and copied my gnucash data file to the new system. All appeared to go without any problems and the app starts and reads the data file without errors. As far as I have tested, the (simplistic) operations that I've used work as expected.

When first opened, if I move the pointer over an account tree triangle, the triangle turns black (as expected). Then, if I left-click, it turns white, rotates, and the tree below expands/collapses (as expected). However, the triangle remains white (I expected it to turn black again as long as the pointer is still over it). Moving the pointer around in the window and then back to any of the triangles does not cause any triangle to turn black, and left-clicking a white triangle "selects" the line rather than expanding/collapsing the tree.
