Error When Installing

There was a similar question recently in this list.  Search for it to
find some suggestions. The specifics depend on which OS you have and
which versions of GnuCash are involved, as there were some changes
between the 2.4 series and the 2.6 series.  The main caveat is to find
and back up your data file(s) before going any further.  Check the Help
manuals and FAQ on the website.  Did it really crash or did it just tell
you that a file is missing?
