Hmm. 2.6.5-2 started up just fine for me the first time, though it took a really long time, but it crashed immediately on a second startup.

Try removing ~/.cache/guile. If you use Finder, .cache is hidden, so you need to pick Go>Go to Folder… from the menu and enter ~/.cache in the resulting dialog box.
You’ll probably want to empty the trash before trying Gnucash-2.6.4 again.
