Need help sharing a file.

I use Google Drive, though I add another layer of encryption by packing all of my finance files into an encrypted volume. It works OK. Others use Dropbox and report that it works well.

So once your file is in a Google Drive folder, just import that folder to your other computer and open it with GnuCash. As long as you give Google Drive time to synchronize both ends in between using GnuCash on each computer everything should be fine. Be on the lookout for files that say 'Conflict' in the filename: That indicates that you didn't give Google Drive enough time to sync and it thinks that the file got changed in both places at once. You'll have to figure out what changes you made on each side. For this reason it's probably safest to use an uncompressed XML file for GnuCash.
