gnu cash crashing

It was all working fine until I tried changing the accounting period in 
Preferences whilst I had a report open. Then I tried to refresh the 
report to reflect the changes.

GC now crashes ONLY when I try and open a report.

I don't know what Lilypond is, but the machine has, I believe, a very 
typical setup. I'm no maverick :-)

> Sounds like you have something installed or configured on that machine that conflicts with GnuCash. Try creating another user and running GnuCash from the new account. Do you by any chance have Lilypond?
