Without getting into a discussion of whether this is a particularly good 
idea, it's certainly possible. Just copy your current data file 
(typically username.gnucash) to your google drive folder and 
double-click it to start the program. Thereafter it will remember that 
location and use that for user data and user log files.

Note that Guncash will write _all_ of it's log files and backups to that 
folder, so be prepared to decrapolate it from time to time to avoid 
unnecessarily running up your storage commit on the Google drive.
