Downloading Stock Prices - Finance::Quote Problems

Hi Erik,

I used Synaptic in PCLinuxOS MATE to install Finance::Quote.

I thought that used "root" as a matter of course?  I'm sure I have to 
sign on to "root" every time I launch Synaptic??

PS I was interested to read Glenn's comments as well.  Are we perhaps 
wasting our time if this hasn't worked for a while in GnuCash anyway?
